Martinez was the only Oaks grappler to win multiple matches last Sunday as Menlo hosted duals against Cal State Bakersfield, UC Davis and Southern Oregon. The sophomore from Bakersfield, Calif. is currently ranked 12th nationally at 141 pounds in the latest NAIA Individual Ratings.

On the day, Martinez defeated both of the NCAA Div. I opponents he faced, taking out Cal State Bakersfield's Erik Martinez 3-0 and UC Davis' Morgan Flaharty 14-5. His lone loss came at the hands of fifth-ranked Kyle Wirkuty of Southern Oregon by decision.
