Julian Harris Selected As Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Menlo College senior Julian Harris averaged 17.5 points in the Oaks' two games last week and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of December 13th through 20th, 2010.
Harris, a native of Fremont, California, averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 2 steals for the Oaks as they went 1-1 on the week. Menlo lost 67-57 to Westmont College in Santa Barbara on Friday and won 67-57 over Pomona-Pitzer in Claremont on Saturday.
The Oaks' next game is December 28th as they take on Fresno Pacific University in Fresno.
Brittany Taylor Selected As Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Menlo College junior Brittany Taylor scored 18 points in the Oaks' lone game of the week last week and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of December 13th through 20th, 2010.
A native of Hayward, California, Garcia scored 18 points and had 4 assists and 2 steals in Oaks' loss to Corban University in Atherton on Friday. The Warriors beat Menlo 76-59.
The Oaks will continue their 2010-2011 schedule Wednesday December 29th as they take on Johnson and Wales University of Colorado in Atherton.
