Tim, a guard and the Oaks only senior, stepped up when he was needed most in the Oaks final game at University of Redlands' 62nd Annual Lee Fulmer Memorial Tournament last Sunday. He played a game-high 38 minutes, scoring 17 points and grabbing 10 rebounds - both team bests for the 6-foot perimeter player - to lead Menlo to a 79-75 comeback victory over UC Santa Cruz that went to overtime.
With the win the Oaks won the tournament's consolation championship, finishing 2-1 at the three-day event to improve their record to 4-4 on the season. Kees had 12 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in another come-from-behind victory a day earlier, and eight points in an opening-round loss to eventual tournament runner-up George Fox. He is second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.0 points per game while snagging 4.8 rebounds a contest.
